A comprehensive tour starting at the splendid and iconic entrance door, one of Rome’s marvels, and continuing through the Historical Archive, which preserves the historical memory of the Monte di Pietà and Cassa di Risparmio di Roma. The tour includes the Permanent Collection with works by Piermatteo d’Amelia, Scipione Pulzone, Marcello Venusti, Caravaggesque paintings such as Nicolas Régnier’s *St. John the Baptist*, the numismatic collection, a beautiful sketch by Pietro da Cortona, and Thomas Jones Barker’s 19th-century “The Start of the Berber Race in Piazza del Popolo”. Finally, the contemporary collection features names like Dottori, Schifano, Kokocinsky, Ferri, and Mitoraj.
The Archive visit is periodically enriched with thematic temporary exhibitions.
