The museum’s rooms can be visited free of charge with an audio guide.
The visit includes the Permanent Collection, the Historical Archive and the temporary exhibitions.
Given the nature of the exhibition route, which extends across several areas of the Museum, each visiting slot is scheduled hourly and accompanied by museum staff.
Each visiting slot lasts approximately 60 minutes in total.
Not all tickets can be booked online: to check for additional availability, please contact the ticket office directly.
For a more complete experience of the museum route, visitors can take part in a guided tour led by an expert guide, who will take the public on a journey of discovery through the palace and its collections, revealing their most fascinating details and secrets.

Visit Information for Palazzo Cipolla
Palazzo Cipolla reopens to the public on 14 October 2026 with “Riflessi”, a new programme of cultural events.
How to Reach Us
The museum is located in the historic centre of Rome, in an area easily accessible by public transport.
The exhibition venues are:
Palazzo Sciarra Colonna – Via Marco Minghetti 22
Palazzo Cipolla – Via del Corso 320
Both entrances are accessible to visitors with reduced mobility. It is recommended to contact the venue in advance for any specific requirements or assistance upon arrival.
The use of the elevator is reserved, for safety and courtesy reasons, for visitors with motor disabilities or mobility difficulties and their accompanying persons.
Animals are not permitted, with the exception of guide dogs for visually impaired persons and companion animals certified as providing therapeutic support (pet therapy), provided they are kept on a leash and wear a muzzle. Visitor Regulations
The provisions apply to all visitors, both individuals and groups.
Access is not permitted in the museum spaces with:
- Bags and backpacks
- Strollers
- Food and beverages
- Animals with specific exceptions
Visitors are kindly asked to deposit helmets, umbrellas, bags of any size, backpacks, and any sharp or blunt objects in the cloakroom before starting their visit.
Visitors may use their mobile phones, provided that the ringer is fully turned off and that the device does not emit any sounds that could disturb other visitors.
Within the museum galleries, visitors are kindly asked to avoid getting too close to the artworks and not to touch display cases, vitrines, or any other exhibition elements.
