24 November 2026 | Palazzo Cipolla On 24 November, Riflessi continues its journey through the theme of Peace, exploring it through music, words and the perspective of one of the leading figures of Italian culture. This evening's guest will be Nicola Piovani, while Martha Deribe and Simone Maggio will accompany the conversation with their musical performance. The event will be hosted by Daniele Pitteri, joined by co-host Michela Giroud. Nicola Piovani is a pianist, composer and conductor. A renowned film composer, he has worked with some of the greatest directors of Italian cinema, including Federico Fellini, Marco Bellocchio, Mario Monicelli, the Taviani brothers, Nanni Moretti, Nanni Loy and Giuseppe Tornatore, winning the Academy Award in 1999 for his score for Roberto Benigni's La vita è bella. Over the years he has also received four David di Donatello awards, four Colonna Sonora awards, four Nastri d'Argento, two Ciak d'Oro, the Golden Globe of the Foreign Press in Italy and the Elsa Morante award. Also active as a songwriter, in the 1970s he co-wrote with Fabrizio De André the albums Non al denaro non all'amore né al cielo and Storia di un impiegato. In the theatre he has collaborated with, among others, Vincenzo Cerami, Carlo Cecchi, Luca De Filippo, Maurizio Scaparro and Vittorio Gassman. He was appointed Chevalier dans l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Minister of Culture. The duo of Martha Deribe and Simone Maggio was formed around five years ago. From their very first meeting, a strong musical affinity and connection emerged. Each piece they play thus becomes a means of transcendence, transformed every time into a ritual that seeks to connect with a dimension where it is souls, rather than minds, that resonate together. The album was launched at the Casa del Jazz in Rome and subsequently presented in numerous concerts in Italy and abroad, notably in Paris and Berlin.Nicola Piovani | Pace

Sacred Times (released on the Norwegian label AMP Music & Records) is the duo's debut album, and its opening track already stands as a kind of manifesto for this musical vision.
The duo has already recorded a new album, which will be released soon.
