Domenico Iannaccone | Complicità

27 October 2026 | Palazzo Cipolla

Complicity also means knowing how to meet one another through different stories and languages.

This is the starting point for the next Riflessi event, with Domenico Iannacone as this evening's guest and a musical performance by Ava Alami and Vittorio Esposito (with their project Candy Cane Snail).

On stage, once again, Daniele Pitteri and Gaia De Laurentis will guide the audience through a new encounter in the spirit of Complicity.

Live music

Candy Cane Snail is a musical project by Ava Alami (vocals) and Vittorio Esposito (piano and synth), both of whom have performed alongside leading names in Italian and international jazz, including Rita Marcotulli, Dado Moroni and Rick Margitza.

The duo takes its inspiration from the colourful snail of the same name and presents an original repertoire that blends jazz, electronica, Italian singer-songwriter traditions and Persian music, in tribute to Ava's roots.

Their album, also titled Candy Cane Snail, was released in February 2025, produced in collaboration with ReMida Productions and Cesare Mangiocavallo, and distributed by the New York label La Reserve Records.

In 2024 Candy Cane Snail won first prize at the Isio Saba competition, dedicated to creativity and innovation in jazz.

The project has appeared on some of the most significant stages of the Italian and European jazz scene, including the Teatro Ristori in Verona, the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari, the Maison d'Italie in Paris, the Casa del Jazz in Rome and the Sala Vanni in Florence.
