Exhibition “ Dalì, Rivoluzione e Tradizione scientific direction by Montse Aguer curated by Carmen Ruiz González and Lucia Moni, produced by Fondazione Roma in collaboration with Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí and organized by MondoMostre , 14 October 2025 – 25 January 2026

The exhibition Dalí. Revolution and Tradition , scheduled from 14 October 2025 to 25 January 2026 at Palazzo Cipolla, produced by Fondazione Roma in collaboration with the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí and organized by MondoMostre , explores the profound bond between Salvador Dalí and the masters of art history, highlighting how the artistic evolution of the Catalan painter was decisively influenced by the great artists of the past.

For Dalí, there are three essential names in the history of art: Velázquez, Vermeer and Raphael, for whom he has a veneration that borders on obsession. Not to mention the name of another artist, his contemporary and compatriot, with whom Dalí maintains an ambivalent relationship: Pablo Picasso. The aim of this exhibition is to delve into the relationship that exists between the works of the Catalan artist with those of the masters of the past and one of the great geniuses of the 20th century.

The project, whose scientific direction is by Montse Aguer , curated by Carmen Ruiz González and Lucia Moni, will present a careful selection of paintings, drawings, photographs and audiovisual documents. Through absolute and unpublished masterpieces from the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí and other prestigious international institutions, in this journey we will be able to see how Dalí understands and interprets the work of each of them throughout his artistic evolution and how they influence his works and his life, since his work always oscillates between revolution and tradition. And how, in this way, Dalí intends to become the Savior of modern painting.
