Destino (1946), story by Salvador Dalí and John Hench. Based on an unfinished animation by Salvador Dalí. Completed in 2003 (director: Dominique Monfery; producers: Baker Bloodworth and Roy Disney). Duration: 7 minutes.
On 14 January 1946, Salvador Dalí signed a contract with Walt Disney to create an animated short film titled Destino. To work on the project, he moved to the Disney Studios in Burbank, California, where he produced drawings and oil paintings. The main characters—a ballerina and a baseball player who is also the god Chronos—develop Dalí’s concept centred on the role of time and the arrival of destiny in human life. Only 15 seconds were originally completed, and the project was later resumed and finished in 2003 using Dalí’s sketches.

Screening of:
A shortened version of the documentary trilogy Salvador Dalí. In Search of Immortality, produced by the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí and directed by David Pujol. Duration: approx. 90 minutes.
This trilogy offers a new perspective on Dalí, structured like a puzzle assembled piece by piece. It helps the viewer understand both the artist and the man, as well as the places that shaped his “immortality”: Figueres, Madrid’s Residencia de Estudiantes (where he met Federico García Lorca and Luis Buñuel), Paris (where he encountered Miró, Picasso, and the Surrealists), America, and finally Portlligat. It also highlights his relationship with Gala, his great love and essential counterpart.
