As part of the lecture series accompanying the exhibition Picassolo straniero, on Thursday 26 June at 6:00 PM, the talk “Picasso and Guernica” will be held with Professor François Hartog.
Guernica (1937) has become the universal symbol of anti-fascist resistance and one of the most famous artworks in the world.
How was Picasso able to create this tragic masterpiece in just 35 days, mobilising all the resources of his extraordinary erudition? Professor Hartog will address this question through an original analysis of the “temporalities of Picasso”.
